Rain or Shine, Banking Reimagined Tour Rocks Seattle
Rain and shine greeted the Capital One Banking ReimaginedSM tour as it rolled through Seattle over President’s Day Weekend. Making its third stop in a nine-city tour, the Banking Reimagined experience features interactive digital activities that help participants identify strategies to achieve their financial goals. It’s just one fun and tasty example—the Seattle stop featured baked goods from local spots Fuji Bakery and Standard Bakery, and coffee from Peet’s—of the different ways Capital One is redefining the banking experience for customers across the nation.
Hundreds of Seattle residents and visitors stopped by the tour, including a few familiar faces: Seattle-based bloggers and business owners Molly Clifton of Style Miss Molly, Dan Anderson of Dad Logic, Kerri Jablonski of I Am the Maven, Mindy Crary of Creative Money and Kimberly Tate of Stuffed Suitcase took a spin through the experience and shared feedback about their own financial journeys.
Clifton talked about her transition from working as a full-time kindergarten teacher to blogging full-time.
"I started my own business this year, so it’s been a lot of how to manage finances beyond what I’ve ever done before," said Clifton. "I’m constantly having different sources of income, and being able to save that and monitor that has been a different experience for me. My goal is to be able to travel more and work from anywhere as a blogger, so it’s very fun to see my goals and work towards them."
Crary, on the other hand, is a local financial planner who spends her days helping others focus on their financial goals. She enjoyed how the Capital One experience allowed her to take a deeper look at her own.
"I really want a stress-free financial life," said Crary. "What I found through the process is that I can keep that goal in mind and bring in balance to my financial decisions. That alone makes me happier overall."
